The all new howtogimp

howtogimp has been running for a couple of months now and it has gotten a nice stream of visitors everyday since launch. However, there have been a few problems as idiots started to spam the upload system which meant that I had to take away the option for users to add their own tutorials.

I have now decided to make howtogimp a blog. I will post regularly with new tutorials, articles, resources etc. and will feature content by other writers when I come across it. There are plenty of Gimp tutorial directories out there such as gimp-tutorials.com and gimpology.com so you can still upload your tutorials to them.

Another reason why I switched to the blog idea was because I had no option for RSS feed support because I didn’t know how to implement it into my own PHP/MySQL system, however now that I am using Wordpress to deliver howtogimp to you, I can offer RSS feeds. So please subscribe to keep up to date with howtogimp.

howtogimp is a site dedicated to bringing you the best resources for The Gimp, the popular image editing program.

The site is run by me, Simon North, a web designer from England, UK. I use The Gimp to design websites and graphics, much to the dismay of my clients who want designs in Photoshop format. I believe that the Gimp is a great alternative to Photoshop and hopefully I can prove this with howtogimp.
